Happy Women’s History Month! Our first book list that celebrates women this month is from the She Persisted book series. The series initially started with picture books written and illustrated by Chelsea Clinton and Alexandra Boiger, respectively. A diverse selection of women is featured in one picture book. Each chapter book, however, focuses on the story of a single woman. She Persisted seeks to profile “inspirational women who never took no for an answer, and who always, inevitably and without fail, persisted.”
The eleven titles below are by Black authors. Most of the books are available now. Some are coming later this year, but are available for pre-order.
