From renowned children’s author Carole Boston Weatherford comes Crowning Glory: A Celebration of Black Hair (Candlewick), a book featuring hair designs that “embody beauty and loving ritual, culture, and community, expression and strength, patience and boundless creativity.” Esteemed artist Ekua Holmes brings her stunning touch to the illustrations.
