Daymond John’s contribution to children’s literature is a welcome addition to the slim collection of financial literacy books by Black authors. As the founder of the clothing line For Us, By Us (FUBU), John’s new March 21st picture book Little Daymond Learns to Earn aims to “ignite kids’ early interest in how money works…” There are many more exciting releases on the March to explore, including a Zora Neale Hurston folk tale adapted by Ibram X. Kendi, Insha Fitzpatrick’s nonfiction book about vampires, and a debut author’s YA novel described as “a love letter to communities of color everywhere.” Take a look and see what you think about the selections.
