The first book in JaNay Brown-Wood’s Where in the Garden? series, Amara’s Farm, was released last year, September 2021. This March, book two, Miguel’s Community Garden, features Miguel as he “searches for sunflowers to take to his community garden party.” The series is described as “perfect for early childhood and elementary education units on agriculture, farming, gardening, and healthy eating” — or maybe National Nutrition Month, which is observed in March. Also, look for great selections in the coming days for Women’s History Month, including Khristi Lauren Adams’s Black Girls Unbossed: Young World Changers Leading the Way. From picture to YA books, celebrity, debut, favorite authors, and everything in between, this March list is wonderful!
Read the “Debut You” features for Julian Randall and Joy L. Smith, debut authors of Pilar Ramirez and the Escape from Zafa and Turning, respectively.
