This year, National Grandparents Day is Sunday, September 11th. Daniel Bernstrom’s book, Big Papa and the Time Machine, was written to honor his grandfather. He wanted to write a touching story about “regular people that go untold.” This list and past ones contain lots of great stories like Bernstrom’s—tales about love, hugs, wisdom, food, history, and so much more. Educators and parents, now is a great time to grab a book or two for the classroom and home. However, anytime throughout the year is a good time to celebrate family.
