Habari gani? is a Swahili greeting that means “What’s the news?” It is often heard during the week-long celebration of Kwanzaa. If you are not familiar with Kwanzaa or need a refresher for classroom lessons or community observance, the picture books listed are great resources. You will learn about the seven principles and other terms associated with the holiday. The festivities begin on December 26th, so hurry and order a copy or two. Happy Holiday! Our stories matter.
