One of Keah Brown’s dreams was to write books. This list includes not one but two books from the creator, a picture book Sam’s Super Seats, and an upcoming YA title, The Secret Summer Promise. In both books the main characters, like Brown, have cerebral palsy.
The other fiction and nonfiction books feature Black characters with disabilities ranging from physical to learning. Most are available now, and some are coming soon.
