Vanessa Santiago- Jerman was born and raised in Harlem, New York. Writing has always seemed to be an outlet for her. Wanting to express her undying creativity, Vanessa began to write poetry and published a book of poetry entitled, Love Storms and Solace. Over the course of her career she has published several children’s books as well including Kennedy Loves Cupcakes and Harlem’s Day Out.

Vanessa prides herself on being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In the future she plans to continue to use her voice and writing to encourage both young women and children to accept who they are and they are unique.
