Howard C. Perkins III, M.Ed.

Bio

Howard C. Perkins III, M.Ed. is a former Baltimore City Public school teacher, he is currently a Special Education Coordinator in D.C. Public Schools. He is again taking on the role of author and children's book publisher with the official founding of Perkins Books for Kids.

Howard has worked in public and charter schools in Baltimore City and Washington D.C. over the last 9 years. He has consistently garnered high evaluation marks for his timeliness, organization and will to go beyond the curriculum to help scholars achieve. Howard also has experience in event planning, financial services and is the author of a children’s book Pieces of A Puzzle about children on the Autism Spectrum. He is setting up the launch of his newest book and the first in a series called Super Duper Darien! which will be his first foray into independent publishing with Perkins Books for Kids LLC.

Howard is a husband, father, and friend. He is a proud member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. since 1999, he is also a member Kappa Delta Phi (International Honor Society). He is currently a member of the Washington Teacher Union Teacher Leaders Program, Howard has received his education from Morgan State University (2004, Bachelor of Science) School of Global Journalism, Coppin State University (2016, Master of Education) Special Education and he will be in the near future pursuing his Doctorate in Education Policy at Morgan State University.

He enjoys writing and plans to start a program to help young boys and girls develop their writing through a non-profit called” Writing My Way Out”.
