Bio

LaQuisha is a native of the Bay Area in CA, and has two sons. She finished college in 2011 with an Ed.S. in teacher leadership while simultaneously working as an adjunct in psychology and child development. LaQuisha created programs for the division, lead campus-wide as the part-time representative for the Academic Senate, and strengthened programs for the Vasconcellos Institute for Democracy in Action where she served as Project Coordinator for 2 years. She was also the club adviser for the BSU and the 4 Elements hip hop club. LaQuisha is interested in coaching k-12 educators, is working on 2 children's books, has published 3 books in the last year, and is a contributing author for "Everyday Occurrences in Social Psychology" (textbook). LaQuisha is also the co-founder of Generation Reformation, a nonprofit focused on strengthening the community through education and collaboration. LaQuisha believes in the power of education and using one's voice; the importance of telling one's story. In her free time, she enjoys playing kickball, watching movies, and talking politics.
