It’s time to celebrate and honor grandparents! National Grandparents Day is coming soon on September 8, so go on and order their gifts, reserve a spot at their favorite restaurant, or plan a fun day for the grandkids. For some, their grandparents are no longer here to celebrate, but their memory lives on. That is what Life is Beautiful (Beach Lane Books, 2024) by Winsome Bingham and Molly Mendoza explores. Although it won’t be released until after National Grandparents Day, keep an eye out for it.
The good news is that there are many more stories about grandparents that educators, parents, and the community can share. Some are available now, and others will be released soon. You can visit Lots of Great Picture Books for Grandparents Day for even more book ideas.
