Kathy Green

Bio

Kathy Green has always found writing to be her best medicine, best outlet, best therapy. She catches her wandering thoughts in between the pages of her notebook. With greater confidence in her abilities as a writer, she's ready to share her creativity with the world.

Kathy's love for writing began with jotting down her everyday feelings in her journal, which she often watched her mother and father do. Later on, she'd enjoy writing song lyrics, poems, and short stories. Like many writers, her writing grew with her life experiences. After years of watching her poem books collect dust, she decided that she'd take the scary leap of becoming a published author. Kathy's first release, "A Writers Inventory: The Poems," is literally her heart spilled out onto the pages. All of the heartbreaks, misconceptions about love, daddy issues, and self-revelations, bleed through the pages. The transparency of her words allows the reader to get to know the author and possibly see a little bit of themselves.

Her second release, "Outside is Closed? A Child's Covid-19 Q&A," leans closer to her professional life as a teacher. Everyone got to watch up and close how the whole world stopped. Life as we knew it shut down because of the novel coronavirus. As adults, this new way of living was shocking. As a mother, Kathy watched her own children struggle with what their new norm had become. As an educator for over thirteen years, Kathy felt it her duty to contribute a piece of literature easy for young minds to understand and relate to.

Kathy's hope as an author is to reach both adult and child audiences respectfully.
