9 More Books for National Poetry Month

It’s National Poetry Month, and in the past years, we have posted several wonderful book lists to help you celebrate the art of composing thoughts, ideas, and stories into magnificent and imaginative words. Since the last poetry posts, 18 Novels in Verse and 40 Books to Celebrate National Poetry Month, there has been an announcement that Long Way Down, Jason Reynolds’ award-winning novel-in-verse will be released as a graphic novel in the fall. Kwame Alexander’s Newbery winner, The Crossover, is now in paperback. And Wade and Cheryl Willis Hudson received tremendous praise for We Rise, We Resist, We Raise Our Voices, an anthology that contains powerful and inspirational poems from various children’s authors. Here are nine more books to add to those poetry selections, and, of course, you can visit here to find so many more selections. Happy Poetry Month!

I liked the book – For everyone by Jason Reynolds
Each of us need to have something to work towards and dreams are one of the great things to get us moving, as children, young adults and adults.
